Estate Planning and Administration

Often people think that estate planning is simply creating directives on how to distribute their assets when they die. However, a comprehensive estate plan includes incapacity planning so that your assets and wishes are carried out in the event you are unable to express them. At Contaldi and Bai, we take a holistic approach to estate planning and take the time to get to know our clients so we can make sure their wishes are accurately reflected in their documents. We also work hand in hand with our client’s financial advisors, and have a good working relationship with many CPA’s, financial consultants and insurance agents.

We perform an in-depth intake session with our clients and take the time to explain the nature of their assets and how they will be managed upon incapacity or how they will be distributed on death. We then develop powers of attorney, trusts and wills to accomplish our clients goals.

In addition to drafting planning documents, at Contaldi and Bai we also help executors and administrators probate the assets of decedents. We also assist family members contesting wills and filing other chancery motions.
